Department of Social Relations (DSR) of East West University celebrated ‘World Health Day 2024’ by organizing a poster presentation on this year’s theme ‘My Health, My Right’. Every year 7 April is celebrated as ‘World Health Day’ to draw attention to some specific and important health issues concerning to people all over the world. The date marks the anniversary of the founding of the World Health Organization in 1948. In these relation on 30 April 2024 the students of the course ‘POP 201: Health Challenges of Adolescents and Youths’ of the department prepared few posters as part of their course activities. Lead by their course instructor Dr. Marzia Zaman Sultana, Senior Lecturer, DSR, the students displayed posters on some important human rights which directly influences to improve our health and help for realization of our health rights; like, right to education, right to health services, right to safe drinking water, right to clean air, right to freedom from discrimination and right to quality housing. DSR faculty members always take initiatives to create awareness among the students regarding health and wellbeing for building a sustainable society.
