Seminar on Social Etiquette
The Department of Social Relations (DSR) of East West University hosted a seminar on "Social Etiquette" on October 31, 2024, at the lecture gallery (Room 550) on campus. The seminar was intended for the first semester students who were enrolled in the Population and Public Health Sciences (PPHS) program. The seminar's goal is to orient students on the proper behavior expected at this level of higher education. The program covered topics such as establishing a healthy learning environment within the department, classroom, lift, and other university spaces. Rubayat Kabir, a senior lecturer in the Department of Social Relations at East West University, delivered the talk.
Professor and DSR chair Dr. Mobarak Hossain Khan also served as the event's program chair. He encouraged the students to participate in activities and advised one another to treat with integrity and respect. The faculty members of the department, Dr. Marzia Zaman Sultana, Md. Rezwan Siddiqui, Abdullah Al Mamun, Quazi Maksudur Rahman, and Nazmin Akter, also shared their perspectives about the dos and don’ts in class. In general, the event was interactive and offered students helpful guidance while also being informative.
