The Writing Centre of the Department of English had organized a creative writing competition on May 9, 2024. It was a resounding success and a remarkable event. Over a hundred students participated, showcasing their skills in storytelling, poetry, music and art. In addition to the writing competition, several students took part in a doodle session, filling canvases with their artistic expressions. The event concluded with captivating musical performances by students of the Department, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. A total of 73 aspiring creative writers, 20 artists, and 12 musicians from the Departments of English, Computer Science and Engineering, Business Administration, Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Population and Public Health Sciences, and Economics participated in the event. The diverse talents and enthusiastic participation made Wordsmith 2024 a memorable celebration of creativity for everyone who attended.
