The Writing Centre hosted a workshop titled “Mastering Feedback and Evaluation Techniques” for GTAs and UTAs of the Department of English on Thursday, April 24th. Conducted by

Dr. Akhter Jahan, Chairperson and Associate Professor, and Dr. Syeda Nadia Hasan, Assistant Professor, Department of English, the workshop lasted for over one hour and thirty minutes. Divided into two segments, the workshop explored effective strategies for providing feedback on speaking and writing. The speakers highlighted the value of positive reinforcement and constructive criticism in both oral and written feedback. Additionally, they brought practical insights and demonstrated the ins and outs of feedback. The participants actively participated and asked questions throughout the session. At the end of the session, each participant received a certificate.
