Social Etiquette Seminar
The Department of Social Relations (DSR) at East West University organized a seminar on Social Etiquette on November 6, 2025, at the Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (Room 126) on campus. The session was designed for first-semester students enrolled in the Population and Public Health Sciences (PPHS) program and aimed to familiarize them with the standards of behavior expected at the university level.
The seminar addressed key topics such as fostering a healthy learning environment within the department, maintaining appropriate conduct in classrooms, lifts, and other shared university spaces. The session was conducted by Rubayat Kabir, Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Relations.
Professor Dr. Mobarak Hossain Khan, presided over the event as program chair. He encouraged students to engage actively in academic and extracurricular activities and highlighted the value of integrity, respect, and mutual cooperation. Faculty members Dr. Marzia Zaman Sultana, Promit Ananyo Chakraborty, and Quazi Maksudur Rahman also contributed by sharing their perspectives on classroom dos and don’ts.
Overall, the session was interactive, informative, and offered students’ meaningful guidance to support their transition into university life.
