The Department of Law, East West University, warmly welcomed its newly admitted Fall 2025 students through an orientation program held on June 17, 2025. The program was honored by the presence of Professor Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Advisor and Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka, whose inspiring remarks set a motivating tone for the day. He warmly welcomed the students and emphasized the dynamic nature of legal profession in Bangladesh.

The orientation program included briefings from respected faculty members on academic policies, institutional regulations, and student responsibilities. Mr. Sayeed Hossain Sarwar and Mr. Ali Mashraf discussed academic standing and grading systems. Ms. Ismat Shereen, Advisor, Student Welfare and Head of CCC, presented the services offered by the Career Counseling Center. Ms. Nur A Ariya Alam addressed university disciplinary rules, while Ms. Farzana Rifat Siddique elaborated on the Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy, emphasizing the importance of a respectful and inclusive campus.

Current students shared useful insights into scholarships, financial assistance, the academic advising system, and university’s student portal. Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Chairperson and Associate Professor of the Department of Law, concluded the session with a Vote of Thanks, encouraging students to strive for academic excellence. The event ended with a group photo, refreshments, and a campus tour to warmly integrate the newcomers into the EWU community.
