A Departmental orientation program was organized on 8 January 2026 by the Department of Law, East West University, to welcome the newly admitted Spring 2026 cohort of students. The program was honoured by the presence of Air Cdre (Retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, honourable Treasurer of East West University, as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring address, he urged the incoming students to pursue their legal studies with integrity and dedication. Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, honourable Chairperson and Associate Professor, Department of Law, delivered her welcoming remarks by showcasing the department’s vision, academic excellence, and commitment towards legal education.

To guide the new students, faculty members Mr. Ali Mashraf and Mr. Sayeed Hossain Sarwar discussed academic grading, rules, and regulations. Ms. Nur-A Ariya Alam explained disciplinary rules, while Ms. Farzana Rifat Siddique elaborated on the Sexual Harassment Prevention Policy of the University. Sessions on scholarships, financial assistance, university’s student portal, and student welfare services were also conducted by the current students.

The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr. Shaikh Mirazur Rahman, Lecturer, Department of Law, followed by a group photo session, guided campus tour, and light refreshments, marking a warm and memorable beginning for the new students.
