The Department of Law at East West University (EWU) proudly announces its remarkable achievements at the University’s inaugural Research Day 2025, held on Saturday, 24 May 2025 at the Manzur Elahi Auditorium. Organized to highlight the role of research in national development and foster academia-industry collaboration, the day-long event featured panel discussions, research presentations, and an awards ceremony attended by distinguished guests, including Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, Vice Chancellor of EWU, and Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chairperson, Board of Trustees, EWU.

The Department of Law made a strong impression with several faculty members and a student receiving prestigious recognition. Mr. Md. Pizuar Hossain, Senior Lecturer, achieved an extraordinary milestone by winning three awards: Best Researcher (Senior Lecturer) at the levels of Department of Law, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (FLASS), and the University, making him one of the most decorated researchers of the event. Mr. Ali Mashraf, Lecturer, was honored with the Department Level Research Award, affirming his active engagement in scholarly work. Ms. Mashraba Naziat, Lecturer, won the Three-Minute One Slide Presentation (Faculty Member) at the Department level for presenting impactful legal research. Mr. K. M. Radhit Ahmed Snigdho received the award in the Three-Minute One Slide Presentation (Student) category, also at the Department level, showcasing the Department’s strong emphasis on student-led research.

The Department congratulates all awardees for their achievements and extends its appreciation to Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Chairperson and Associate Professor, for her continued leadership in advancing the Department’s research endeavors.
