The research interests of Khandker Saad At Tanbir  include transitional justice, international human rights law, international criminal justice, criminal law, and laws of taxation.

He is currently a co-investigator in the self-funded empirical research project Crimes against Humanity in Myanmar: Rohingya Survivors’ Testimony and Long-Term Impact Analysis. Employing qualitative research methods, the project examines survivors’ testimonies and the long-term psychological and social impacts of crimes against humanity committed against the Rohingya population. He contributes to the qualitative analysis of survivor narratives and broader research on transitional justice and accountability.

He contributed to the Human Rights Defender Placement Project of Asia Justice and Rights (AJAR), conducting research on the transitional justice of the Rohingya community. He has also participated in research projects at the Centre for the Study of Genocide and Justice (CSGJ), Liberation War Museum, Dhaka, where he engaged in research, educational workshops, public history initiatives, and served as a Spanish interpreter for international guests.
