My primary research interests lie in knowledge management (KM) education and practice in the field of library and information science (LIS). I am particularly interested in developing KM programs and competence model for educating knowledge managers. My research also focuses on KM systems, especially the tools and technologies for creating, organizing, distributing and sharing both explicit and tacit knowledge in digital environments. In addition, my research concerns the theory of adoption of innovations, inter- and/or multidisciplinary studies and emerging disciplines like service science, skills science and knowledge science, etc. My research keywords are:

Funded Research Projects/Activities

  • Researcher, commissioned by the British High Commission Dhaka, in the project on developing an online guide on family law and related provisions in Bangladesh for assisting British nationals in understanding their options and making informed decisions when dealing with family or child-related legal matters in Bangladesh, from December 2025 to January 2026 (ongoing);

  • Research Assistant to the Bangladesh Regional Consultant in the 'Research on Crimes against Future Generations (CAFG)' by the Centre for Environmental Law and Policy (CELP), Faculty of Law, University of Colombo in collaboration with The European Union funded Support to Justice Sector Project (JURE), jointly implemented by UNDP and UNICEF Sri Lanka, and facilitated by the Ministry of Justice, Sri Lanka in 2023–2025 (ongoing);

  • Research Assistant in the United Nations Development Program’s (UNDP) Study on ‘Leave No One Behind (LNOB): Reviewing the laws enacted by the Bangladesh National Parliament from 2016 to 2020 in the light of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’ conducted by the Faculty of Law, University of Dhaka in 2020;

  • Researcher in the study titled ‘Living Under Sentence of Death: A study on the profiles, experiences and perspectives of death row prisoners in Bangladesh’ conducted by the Department of Law, University of Dhaka  in collaboration with the Bangladesh Legal Aid and Services Trust and The Death Penalty Project in 2019–20


Independent Research Consultancy 

  • Assisted in drafting and researching the amicus curiae (expert) submission in Suo Motu v Secretary, Ministry of LGRD, Government of Bangladesh (Suo Motu Rule 9 of 2020): Upon hearing, the High Court Division (HCD) declared access to safe drinking water a fundamental right. The Court directed the Government to ensure access to safe water in key public areas within one year and to provide affordable, potable water to all citizens within ten years;

  • Assisted in researching and drafting the writ petition on behalf of the petitioner’s counsels in Md Niamol Hossain v Bangladesh (Writ Petition 9958 of 2020): Upon hearing, HCD directed the respondents to pay the victim BDT 30,00,000/- as compensation for the injury sustained during the course of his employment. HCD further directed the respondent to deposit BDT 7,000/- every month in the bank from February 2024 till the completion of studies of the victim.
