Two Students of the Department of Social Relations Achieve Top Honors in “Psyche Flow – Mental Health Awareness Competition”
Students from the Department of Social Relations (DSR), under the Population and Public Health Sciences (PPHS) program, achieved remarkable success in the Psyche Flow – Mental Health Awareness Competition, held on 2 November 2025. The event was organized by the East West University Health and Well-being Club in collaboration with Bejoy Counseling & Wellness Institute and Team BSS.
The competition featured a total of 36 groups, from which 20 teams advanced to the final round. The short-listed participants delivered a five-minute presentation, followed by a one-minute question-and-answer session with the judges. After a rigorous evaluation process, four participants were honored with the titles of Champion, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up, and Honorable Mention.
Among the top achievers, Purnota Rahman, a 2nd-semester PPHS student, secured the Champion title, while Rifa Tasfia, a 7th-semester PPHS student, earned the position of 1st Runner-up. Both students were awarded crests, prize money, and certificates, presented by the Honorable Vice Chancellor of East West University.
Their presentations demonstrated meaningful engagement with mental health themes, strong communication skills, and thoughtful reflection social awareness fostered within the Department of Social Relations. Dr. Touhida Tasnima, the chairperson of DSR extends her heartfelt congratulations to both students for their outstanding accomplishments and looks forward to their continued contributions to mental health advocacy and social well-being.
