Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University, delivered a Keynote Speech on "AI for Librarians" on the occasion of five-days training inauguration “Mastering Qualitative Data: Identification, Analysis, and visualization with NVivo.”

The event was organized by the Central Department of Library and Information Science (CDLIS) at Tribhuvan University, Nepal on 11 May 2026. In her address, Professor Dr. Dilara Begum emphasized how libraries are navigating the transformative impact of generative AI and machine learning. She shared her insights on the impact of artificial intelligence to enhance smart discovery and better services towards the library user. She also emphasized the significance of developing proper AI policy.
