Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University, was invited at an international seminar titled “Building Smart Campuses: National MIL Network Initiative for Higher Education” on 10 May 2026.

The seminar was organized by Academia International College, Gwarko, Lalitpur, Nepal. The topic of her Keynote speech was “Combatting Information Disorder on Campuses through Media and Information Literacy”. Professor Dr. Dilara Begum shared valuable insights on innovative approaches, digital transformation, and Media and Information Literacy (MIL) greatly enriched the discussion among higher education leaders, academicians, and participants.

The seminar also provided a valuable platform for exchanging ideas and strengthening collaboration among national and international stakeholders working in the fields of information studies, digital learning, and higher education development.
