Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University (EWU) and Md. Hasinul Elahi, Senior Lecturer from the same department have been awarded a research grant by the East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT).

The research grant specifically supports their proposal titled, “Perceived Service Quality of District Government Public Libraries in Bangladesh: An analysis through the lens of LibQUAL+”. The grant will support an in-depth analysis of the service quality of public library services in Bangladesh. The study is set to be a key assessment, utilizing the internationally recognized LibQUAL+ model to evaluate the current state of district government public libraries across the nation.

EWUCRT promotes academic and applied research to create and disseminate new knowledge. It provides financial support to faculty members to conduct research. Such grants are aimed at nurturing and sustaining a vibrant research community at EWU by engaging academics and researchers from all faculties/fields.
