East West University (EWU) Arranged a Merit Scholarship Awarding Ceremony 2024 on March 10, 2024 at EWU's Manzur Elahi Auditorium where Merit Scholarships were given to 249 students in recognition of their exceptional academic achievement in the spring, summer, and fall of 2023.

Mr. Edimon Ginting, Country Director of the Asian Development Bank's Resident Mission in Bangladesh, served as the ceremony's Chief Guest. Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, EWU's Chief Adviser and Founder Vice Chancellor, served as the Program Chair. H.N. Ashequr Rahman, Member of the Board of Trustees at EWU, was the program's special guest, while Professor Shams Rahman, Vice-Chancellor at EWU, presented the welcome remarks. From the Department of Information Studies, four students got this merit scholarships. They are Shatabdi Chakrabortty, Jahin Hosen, Miftahul Yean and Tanzima Anisha. The Department is delighted with their achievements and hopes for continued success in the foreseeable future.
