The Department of Information Studies, East West University organized a fresher’s reception and cultural program for the summer semester 2025 on 16 July 2025 at CCC Lobby. The entire event was organized by the department's senior students to express their love and affection for the newcomers. The event was graced by the honorable Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson and she delivered the welcome speech. She congratulated the freshers for enrolling in the department of Information Studies and encouraged them to work hard in their upcoming academic journey. She also expressed appreciation to the department's senior students for arranging such a beautiful event.  Honorable faculty members, administrative staff, senior students, alumni, and freshers also participated in the event.

The event was a vibrant display of cultural performances by the students. The performances included music, dance and games. The cultural program offered the students a break from the usual monotony of academic activities and presented an opportunity to showcase their talents in music and arts.
