The Department of Information Studies, East West University, successfully organized the Alumni Meet 2026 on 02 May 2026 at the S. M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery (Room 126). The event aimed to reconnect alumni with their alma mater and to strengthen the growing network of graduates across different cohorts. It brought together former students, current faculty members, and university leadership in a collaborative and engaging environment. Approximately 60 participants attended the program physically, while around 10 alumni joined virtually, reflecting the department’s commitment to inclusivity and global engagement.

A major highlight of the event was the official declaration of the Executive Committee of the Alumni Association, marking an important milestone in institutionalizing alumni activities within the department. Furthermore, the department announced its initiative to establish regional alumni associations, including the European Alumni Association and the South Asian Alumni Association, considering the global distribution of its graduates.

The program was graced by the presence of Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor, East West University, and Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, along with other respected faculty members. Their presence added great significance to the occasion. The Alumni Meet 2026 served as a valuable platform for networking, experience sharing, and fostering long-term collaboration between alumni and the department. The Department of Information Studies looks forward to further strengthening this engagement through future initiatives and global alumni connections.
