Achievement Details

Great faculty members make great departments. Our faculty member Mr. Rasel Hussain, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sociology, East West University has been awarded the prestigious “Hong Kong Ph.D. Fellowship Scheme (HKPFS)’’ for the academic year 2020-2021 by the Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong to pursue Ph.D. studies as a full-time student at Lingnan University.

Lingnan University is the only liberal arts university in Hong Kong. The university Impact Ranking 2020 placed Lingnan University in the 2^nd Position worldwide for Quality education. He will do his Ph.D. research on ‘Information Economy’ in the Department of Sociology and Social Policy.

The Department of Sociology is highly honored by the achievement of its faculty member in such a prestigious venture.
