Dr. Promit Ananyo Chakraborty is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Relations at East West University, where he teaches courses in public health, urban health, health systems, and social determinants of health. Before joining academia, he worked as an epidemiologist with the British Columbia Ministry of Health in Canada. His research interests include psychiatric epidemiology, substance use, mental health, and the social and commercial determinants of health. He has contributed to numerous peer-reviewed publications and major international research collaborations.
