Nishat Anjum Bini is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Relations at East West University. She earned her B.A. (Hons) and M.A. degrees in History from the University of Dhaka in 2018 and 2019, respectively. Following her graduation, she served as an Adjunct Lecturer in the Department of History and Philosophy at North South University from July 2020 to May 2023. She also provided mentorship to students as the Club Moderator for the East West University Environmental & Social Club (EWUESC) from 2023 to 2024. She has been recognized for her academic excellence with the Government Honors Scholarship and inclusion in the Academic Roll of Honor in 2020 and 2021 for achieving top positions in her Bachelor’s and Master’s programs at the University of Dhaka. She also received the prestigious Dean’s Award from the University of Dhaka in 2022.
Her research interests encompass International History, Urban History, and the Socio-Political and Environmental History of Bangladesh. She is an active member of two esteemed organizations: the Bangladesh History Association and Alliance Française de Dhaka. Currently, she teaches courses including GEN7226: Emergence of Bangladesh and GEN7202: Eastern Culture and Heritage.
