Why study law

It will give you the skills to be a successful lawyer, politician, police officer and any other profession that requires intellectual strength combined with a practical approach. This degree will sharpen your mind, strengthen your understanding and deepen your experience across the humanities and social sciences.

This course will provide you with an understanding of legal concepts and principles. It is designed to educate you with the law of Bangladesh where the country has made its own law and also with the law of England where British made law is still applicable in Bangladesh. There will be emphasis on clinical legal education so that you can develop your practical and intellectual skills and abilities.

Program Description

The Bachelor of Laws program in the East West University is a four-year program and runs through the bi-semester system (two semesters each year and a total of 8 semesters in four years). In order to be eligible for the Bachelor of Laws degree from the East West University, a student is required to complete 130 credits taking a minimum of 5 courses (15 credits) or a maximum of 6 courses (18 credits) per semester.
