The Department of Information Studies, East West University organized a departmental orientation program for newly enrolled students of the Fall 2024 semester on 17 October 2024. The program was attended by Dr. Farzana Akhter, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, faculty members, admin staff, some senior students of the department, and freshers. The distinguished Dean gave an enlightening and energizing speech after welcoming the students. Newcomers were also greeted by Professor Dr. Dilara Begum and briefed about the EWU policy and guidelines, academic necessities, etc. Abdur Rahman Sumon, Senior Lecturer of the department presented a presentation on "Sexual Harassment". The "Advising" and "Campus Tour" were followed by the main orientation session.
