The Department of Information Studies, East West University organized a fresher’s reception and cultural program for the Fall semester 2024 on 12 November 2024 at CCC Lobby. The entire event was organized by the department's senior students to express their love and affection for the newcomers. The event was graced by the honorable Dr. Dilara Begum, Professor and Chairperson and she delivered the welcome speech. She congratulated the freshers on their getting selected for the Information Studies department and encouraged them to work hard in their upcoming academic journey. She also expressed appreciation to the department's senior students for arranging such a beautiful event.  Honorable faculty members, administrative staff, senior students, alumni, and freshers also participated in the event.

The event was a vibrant display of cultural performances by the students. The performances included music, dance and games. The cultural program offered the students a break from the usual monotony of academic activities and presented an opportunity to showcase their talents in music and arts. There are many gifts for the new students, along with a food arrangement.
