Dr. Dilara Begum Participated at the 100th Seminar of CRTEWU as Speaker

Dr. Dilara Begum Participated at the 100th Seminar of the Center for Research and Training East West University (CRTEWU) on 22 September 2024 as speaker. The seminar titled “Strategic Planning for Sustainable LIS Profession in the World of AI,” provided a platform for knowledge-sharing and discussion on the critical role of Library and Information Science (LIS) in the age of artificial intelligence (AI).

Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson of the Department of Information Studies at East West University, a renowned expert in the field, offered valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities raised by the emergence of AI for information professionals. The speaker emphasized the need for strategic planning to ensure the sustainability of the information profession in the face of rapid technological advancements.

The seminar was well-attended by researchers, students, and faculty members from various institutions. The seminar was conducted by Dr. Rafiqul Huda Chaudhury, Chairperson, CRTEWU. Professor Md. Sohel Rana, Deputy Executive Director, CRTEWU, gave the introductory speech on the occasion.
