Bangladesh National Scientific and Technical Documentation Center (BANSDOC), a national apex body in the field of ICT based scientific & technological information and documentation services of the country under the Ministry of Science and Technology, offered internship opportunity to a group of students from the Department of Information Studies, East West University. A total of 30 students participated in the one-month paid internship program which started from 1 September 2024.

At the inaugural ceremony, which took place at BANSDOC, Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University was invited as the Special Guest. Md. Nizam Uddin, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Science and Technology, graced the event as the Chief Guest. Dr. S. M. Mahbubur Rahman, Director (Acting), Institute of Information Science, Noakhali Science and Technology University also participated in the event as special guests. Mir Jahurul Islam, Director General (Additional Secretary), BANSDOC, presided over the inaugural ceremony.

All delegates conveyed their best wishes to the interns participating in the internship program.
