Information Club hosted a seminar on “Today's Volunteer Tomorrow's Leader”
On September 23, 2024, the East West University Information Club hosted a seminar on "Today's Volunteer Tomorrow's Leader," which was conducted by the team from Give Bangladesh Foundation (GBF). In essence, GBF offers a special opportunity for Bangladeshis to participate in voluntary work and charity that advances their nation. Esteemed faculty members, administrators, and concerned Give Bangladesh members, as well as the president and cofounder of the Give Bangladesh Foundation, the honorable chairperson of the Department of Information Studies, the moderator of the East West University Information Club, and others were attended the program. Moderator of East West University Information Club Abdur Rahaman Sumon made a welcome address at the outset of the seminar. Following the welcome address, GBF President and Co-Founder Muhammad Saifullah Mithu provided an overview of Give Bangladesh. Two GBF volunteers then presented a PowerPoint that reflected the work of their organization and shared their volunteer experience. Professor Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies delivered vote of thanks. In her speech, Dr. Begum thanked GBF for their contributions to society and expressed interest in collaborating with them. Following the session, several East West University attendees expressed interest in working with GBF as volunteers.
