On May 10, 2025, Saturday, the Department of Information Studies organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Financial Management in Information Institutions’ for the students of INF 7203-Management of Information Institutions. Mr. Asif Al Mahmud, Assistant Director, Anti-Corruption Commission, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh delivered the lecture on the mentioned topic. Mr. Asif completed his BBA and MBA from the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. In his lecture, he focused on the implications of the principles of financial management in organizational practices. A total of 60 students attended the guest lecture.

The lecture was organized as a part of the Guest Lecture Series of the Department of Information Studies.
