As part of the week-long global observance of Global Media and Information Literacy (MIL) Week 2026, East West University (EWU) hosted a grand Award Giving Ceremony on campus on 29 October 2026 to honor the exceptional contributions of young media and information literacy advocates from universities across Bangladesh. Organized under the global theme "We All Play a Part – Media and Information Literacy for the People," the ceremony recognized outstanding student achievements, creative initiatives, leadership, and community commitment aimed at fostering an ethical, critical, and responsible digital information ecosystem.

The ceremony celebrated achievements across five key award categories, honoring champions in the Citizenship Olympiad on MIL, Best Campus Ambassador, Best Club Video, Speech Competition, and Best Social Action Project (SAP). From demonstrating in-depth knowledge and analytical critical thinking to leading impactful campus campaigns and pioneering social action projects, the award recipients exemplified how youth-driven initiatives can effectively combat misinformation and build a healthier, more informed society. The organizers extended warm congratulations to all winners and participants, emphasizing that advancing media and information literacy remains a shared civic responsibility and reinforcing that everyone has a role to play in building digital resilience for all.
