Talk on "The Role of Professional Associations in meeting the 21st Century Challenges: Knowledge Sharing Session on IFLA WLIC 2019"
On 17th September, 2019 A Talk on "The Role of Professional Associations in meeting the 21st Century Challenges: Knowledge Sharing Session on IFLA WLIC 2019" was held in S.M. Nousher Ali Lecture Gallery, East West University by the Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University. The session was open for all the LIS professionals of Bangladesh. Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor & Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management, Librarian (In-Charge), East West University and Md. Hasinul Elahi, Senior Lecturer from the same department were the resource person of the session who shared their experience of attending IFLA WILC 2019 at Greece. It was a very interactive session where the audiences participated actively during the question and answer session. The talk on session had been initiated by a kahoot quiz game in which all had participated. M. Nasiruddin Munshi, Ph.D. Professor, Department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka chaired the session and Dr Md. Nazim Uddin, Senior Manager and Head, Library and Information Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (icddr,b) was attended as Special Guest. Faculty members, students, admin staff of Information Studies and Library Management Department, East West University were present along with the students of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka, LIS Professionals of East West University Library as well as of other libraries.
