Students of the Department of Information Studies and Library Management visited University of Dhaka
On the morning of 5th February 2018, few students along with three faculty members of the Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University visited the department of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka. Muhammad Mezbah-ul-Islam, Ph.D Professor and Chairperson of the Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka had cordially welcomed the students from East West University. The Chairperson mentioned that it is a great opportunity for the students of the two universities to engage in interactive knowledge sharing sessions. The Chairperson and other faculty members of the said Department later gave a tour of the newly innovated departmental digital class rooms, computer lab cum classroom, and seminar room. The whole department and classrooms are monitored by CCTV Cameras. Muhammad Mezbah-ul-Islam, Ph.D Professor and Chairperson of the Dept. of Information Science and Library Management, University of Dhaka introduced the students with background of the Department establishment, he mentioned that it is one of the oldest departments of Arts Building, and currently the most modernized one. In a later discussion with the students of East West University at the Chairperson’s office, it was proposed that such visits could be frequently arranged and would be beneficial for the students of both University of Dhaka and East West University.
