Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University organized a Seminar on “Improving Productivity, Teamwork and Communication in The Information Age”.

The Seminar was held on 11 February, 2018 and was open for all the students of EWU. Ms. Cathy Sheppard, Trainer and Facilitator, and Mr. Ahmed Bari Vice President and Dean of Workplace Skills Development Academy (WSDA), New Zealand were present as Guest Speakers. Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor & Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management presided the event.

The Resource persons took two interactive sessions, engaging the students with instant tasks and emphasized the importance of teamwork and communication for better productivity. They demonstrated how to build team and how to effectively communicate with the team members. They mentioned that, team building and good communication skills are integral for competing in the professional realms.  The Seminar ended with encouraging words and vote of thanks from the Chair Dr. Dilara Begum, who emphasized that necessity of such soft skills are always encouraged in her class. Around 100 of participants including students of the said Department, and other Departments, Faculty Members, and administrative staffs made the event successful.
