The Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University is celebrating Global MIL week 2019 through a week long program. In this continuation, the department organized a Focus Group Discussion on the second day of the celebration with the participation of professionals from diverse area including academicians, researchers, Librarians, Information Scientists, archivist and Documentalists and Students of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University. In the discussion there were six groups. Four groups were consist of professionals and two groups were formed by students. Each group was formed by five or six participants. The discussion was based on the theme of Global Media and Information Literacy Week, 2019 “Media and Information Literate Citizens: Informed, Engaged, Empowered”. After the discussion one representative from the each group shared their generating ideas. Honorable Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management was moderator of the discussion. Other faculties, admin staff and volunteers of the department were present there. An Awareness Building Campaign was also conducted on 27_28^th October 2019 at the campus premise by the Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University. Number of Literacy games were also played in the booth.
