Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University organized two days long Field Trip from 23 February to 24 February 2018 in Khagrachori. The main purpose of the Field Trip was to conduct a research on “Information Seeking Behavior of Tribal people of Khagrachori”.
More than 40 students of the department were assigned to collect data and conduct survey on the tribal community of Khagrachori. The students were guided by the Department Chairperson Dr. Dilara Begum and Lecturer Md. Hasinul Elahi. The students enthusiastically conducted interviews with the tribal groups at different locations and were successful in collecting a large number of data that will be used for the research purpose. The field trip was very fruitful for the students for their upcoming research projects and the practical experience of field work has also had a positive effect on the minds of the students. During the trip, the students also had opportunities of sight-seeing.
