Faculties and Students of the Department of Information Studies of EWU attended an International Conference
Faculties and Students of the Department of Information Studies, East West University attended an International Conference titled ICDL2019: Digital Transformation for an Agile Environment which was held in New Delhi at the time of November 6–8, 2019. Dr. Dilara Begum Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University, presented a paper titled “Evolving Roles of Libraries and Librarians to meet the 21st Century Challenges” as Invited Speakers and chaired number of sessions. Among the faculty members of the department Tamanna Hossain, Lecturer, co-chaired a session and presented a paper titled “Research Data Management (RDM): Demystifying the notion about Data Librarians”. Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Associate Professor, Md. Hasinul Elahi, Senior Lecturer, Abdur Rahman Sumon, Lecturer, Information Studies and Library Management were the co-author of the paper. Another Faculty Member of the Department Rumana Rahman, lecturer presented paper titled “Faculty Perception, Adoption and Usage of Open Access Scholarly Publishing: Bibliometric Analysis from Last 10 years in Academia” there. Undergraduate student of the department Sabiha Sultana also presented a paper titled “Embracing Open Access: Practices and perception of LIS Professionals in Bangladesh”. Another student Mahbub Hossain Sayed joined the conference as participants.
