Department of Information Studies and Library Management organized “Fresher’s Orientation Program”
Department of Information Studies and Library Management, East West University organized an Orientation Ceremony for the newly admitted students of Fall 2016 batch on Thursday 1st September, 2016.
The program was attended by Dr. Lutfun Nahar, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management, and faculty members of the Department.
In the inception of the program Dr. Lutfun Nahar, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences welcomed and delivered her inspiring and motivational speech towards the students. It was followed by a wonderful presentation arranged by the senior students of the Department. The presentation highlighted all the departmental and club activities in the previous academic sessions. Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies and Library Management presided over the program and introduced the newly admitted students with the rules, regulations and facilities of the department as well as the University. In her speech she also introduced the Faculty Members of the department. Dr. Dilara Begum, emphasized on the future prospects of the Subject and concluded by immensely inspiring speech.
A group of students volunterilly participated in arranging the program from beginning till the end. The orientation ceremony successfully ended by serving campus visit for the newly admitted students.
Academic offerings include 95 majors, 86 minors, and more than 100 in-major specializations and more than 100 in-major specializations
