The East West University (EWU) Moot Committee, which comprised Ms. Shamshad Bashar, a Lecturer in Law; Ms. Nadia Rahaman, a Senior Lecturer in Law; and Mr. Md. Pizuar Hossain, a Senior Lecturer in Law successfully organized the 7^th workshop on “Mooting and Advocacy Skills” at EWU on June 1, 2024, Saturday. The event was attended by 75 EWU law students enrolled in the spring semester of 2024.

There were four lecture sessions in the workshop. The first session was conducted by Ms. Nadia Rahaman, on ‘Introduction to Mooting’, while the next one was conducted by Ms. Shamshad Bashar, on ‘Fact Marshalling’. Ms. Nabila Farhin, a Senior Lecturer in Law, conducted the third session on ‘Legal Research and Memorial Writing’. The last session on ‘Oral Advocacy and the Art of Presentation’ was conducted by Mr. Md. Pizuar Hossain.

At the completion of the four sessions, a demonstration of a moot court competition was arranged with the participation of EWU law students who gained experience in national and/or international moot court competitions. 

Dr. Muhammad Ekramul Haque, Professor and Adviser, Department of Law; Dr. Nabaat Tasnima Mahbub, Assistant Professor and Chairperson, Department of Law; and Dr. Md. Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Professor, Department of Law, graced the certificate giving and closing ceremony of the event.
