EWU Law Team Secures Championship Title at the 2nd BUP National Moot Court Competition

East West University takes immense pride in announcing that its Moot Team from the Department of Law has secured the championship title at the 2nd BUP National Moot Court Competition, held from 11th-14th September 2025, at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).

The champion team was represented by Ms. Saima Haque Nisa (Oralist), Mr. Mahidul Hasan Mahim (Oralist), and Mr. Asif Rahman (Researcher). Adding to this achievement, Ms. Saima Haque Nisa was honored with the prestigious ‘Spirit of the Moot’ Award in recognition of her consistent performance throughout the competition. The team was skillfully coached by Ms. Mashraba Naziat, Lecturer, Department of Law.

This year’s competition was highly competitive, featuring participants from 31 leading public and private universities across the country. The EWU team showcased exceptional advocacy and research skills, defeating strong opponents from Brac University in the semi-final and Independent University Bangladesh (IUB) in the grand final to secure the championship. The award ceremony was graced by the Hon’ble Attorney General of Bangladesh, Md Asaduzzaman.

Such a remarkable victory not only inspires students of the Department of Law to actively engage in moot court competitions but also enhances their critical thinking, legal reasoning, and professional development. This achievement stands as a matter of immense pride for the Department, as well as the University. EWU warmly congratulates the winning team and extends heartfelt appreciation to the team and its coach for their dedication, hard work, and excellence.
