The Department of Information Studies, East West University organized a departmental orientation program for newly enrolled students of Spring 2023 semester on February 2, 2023. The program was attended by Dr. Farzana Akhter, Dean, Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Dr. Dilara Begum, Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, faculty members, admin staffs, some senior students of the department and freshers. The distinguished dean gave an enlightening and energizing address after welcoming the students. Newcomers were also greeted by Dr. Dilara Begum Associate Professor and Chairperson and then the venerated chairperson briefed about the EWU policy and guidelines, academic necessities etc. Respected faculty member Abdur Rahman Sumon presented a presentation on "Sexual Harassment" after the chairperson speaking. The "Advising" and "Campus Tour" sessions that came after the orientation program.
