DIS Faculty Md. Hasinul Elahi Invited to Contribute Expertise to UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2026

Md. Hasinul Elahi, Senior Lecturer, Department of Information Studies (DIS), East West University (EWU), has been invited by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) to serve as a Project Reviewer for the UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2026, an international initiative promoting youth innovation and Media and Information Literacy (MIL) in response to emerging digital challenges.

The UNESCO Youth Hackathon 2026 has received thousands of registrations from young innovators across the globe, demonstrating the growing interest of young people in developing innovative, technology-driven solutions to contemporary challenges related to information, media, and the digital environment.

As part of the project evaluation phase, UNESCO has invited members of the UNESCO MIL Alliance and the wider international community of experts to contribute their knowledge and professional expertise as Project Reviewers. In this capacity, Md. Hasinul Elahi will contribute to the assessment of youth-led projects and the identification of innovative solutions with the potential to create meaningful impact in the digital society. His participation provides an opportunity to contribute professional expertise to a significant international platform dedicated to empowering young changemakers and advancing Media and Information Literacy globally.
