Dr. Mohammad Rejaul Karim is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English at East West University. He holds a PhD in Educational Technology from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Malaysia. He also earned an MA in Online and Distance Learning from The Open University, UK, as a Commonwealth Scholar (2018–2020), an MA in TESOL from BRAC University, and both BA (Honours) and MA degrees in English Literature from the University of Chittagong. He completed the Cambridge CELTA through International House Bangkok in 2008.
Before joining East West University, Dr. Karim taught at the BRAC Institute of Languages, BRAC University; BGC Trust University Bangladesh; and Cantonment English School, Chattogram Cantonment. He also served as a MYTEC Tutor for the English in Action programme under The Open University, UK.
Dr. Karim is an IELTS Speaking Examiner, ELT Teacher Trainer, Global Core Skills Trainer, and Trainer of Trainers associated with the British Council. His professional training includes teacher-training skills, online teaching, communicative language teaching, child protection, and teaching and learning in low-resource classrooms.
Worked as a Lecturer at BRAC Institute of Languages (BIL), BRAC University for six years ( From January 2009 to December 2014).
Worked 1 year as MYTEC Tutor for English in Action (EiA) under Open University UK during pilot phase (2010-1011)
Worked 3 years as Lecturer, Department of English, BGC Trust University Bangladesh, from January 2006 to January 2009
Worked 3 years as English Language Teacher at Cantonment English School, Chittagong Cantonment from August 2002 to December 2005
