Dr. Moriam Quadir completed her PhD degree in the area of Applied Linguistics and ELT (English Language Teaching), from Hiroshima University, Japan. She also completed MA in Applied Linguistics from the same University. Before, she completed BA and MA in English from the Department of English, University of Dhaka.
Dr. Quadir received International Communication Foundation's (ICF), Tokyo, Japan, Research Scholarship in 2006. She was awarded Monbukagakoshu Scholarship of Japan Ministry of Education (https://www.mext.go.jp/result_js.htm?q=&search=x#resultstop) for PhD study. She received a research and publication award from East West University in 2009.
Dr. Quadir has been working in the Department of English, East West University, since May 2009. She served the Convener position of Self-Assessment Committee (SAC) of the department under Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the university from 2016 to 2018. Currently, she is the Chair of Program Self Assessment Committee (PSAC) formed under IQAC, East West University.
