Md. Arshad Shahriar was an avid reader of English fiction from a very young age, and it was this love of stories that eventually led him to get a degree in English and English literature from the University of Dhaka. Since a career in academia would help him explore, analyze and teach literature (and language) he joined as a lecturer at East West University in 2024 after having worked for 2 years in the same post at Uttara University. He is also interested in how language, culture and material conditions interact with one another, and is working on qualitative research that explores these ideas.
