PROF. DR. MD. MOBARAK HOSSAIN KHAN WAS INVITED AS AN INVITED SPEAKER IN A SYMPOSIUM ORGANIZED BY THE HOKKAIDO CHITOSE COLLEGE OF REHABILITATION, SAPPORO, JAPAN
Md. Mobarak Hossain Khan PhD, Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Social Relations, East West University was invited as one of the five speakers (fully sponsored) in the symposium organized by the Hokkaido Chitose College of Rehabilitation, Sapporo, Japan on August 24, 2019. In addition to his presentation on “Smoking Epidemiology in Bangladesh: Control Policy and Measures”, Dr. Khan participated symposium-related pre- and post-activities during his stay. The world class social epidemiologist Prof. Dr. Ichiro Kawachi from Harvard School of Public Health attended the symposium as a keynote speaker. Around 180 health professionals from both public and private sectors attended the symposium. His presentation was highly appreciated by the audience.
