Dr. Dilara Begum participated in the 2024 forum on Future of World Academic Libraries (WAL) as Invited Speaker
Dr. Dilara Begum, Associate Professor and Chairperson, Department of Information Studies, East West University participated in the 2024 forum on Future of World Academic Libraries (WAL) as an Invited Speaker. The Conference was held in Beijing, China on 24-27 June 2024. She presented a paper on Strategic Planning for Sustainable LIS Profession in the World of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Dr. Dilara, in her speech, discussed the potential impact of AI for the information profession. She addressed key strategies to make LIS profession more sustainable in the world of AI. She further highlighted and explained initiatives and activities that are taken by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA).
Academic offerings include 95 majors, 86 minors, and more than 100 in-major specializations and more than 100 in-major specializations
