Achievement Details

A research team from the Department of Sociology at East West University has received a research grant from the East West University Center for Research and Training (EWUCRT) to conduct a study titled “Environmental Degradation and Displacement of Forest-Dependent Communities: A Socio-Ecological Study in the Sundarbans Area, Bangladesh.”

The project will be led by Dr. Mumita Tanjeela, Associate Professor; Dr. Rasel Hussain, Assistant Professor; and Mr. Helal Uddin, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Sociology, East West University. The team will collaborate with Dr. Mayumi Kako, Associate Professor at the School of Biomedical and Health Sciences, Hiroshima University, Japan.
