On 27 July 2026, faculty members of the Department of Sociology, East West University, presented the findings of their BPATC-funded research project, "Civil Service Careers Through the Lens of Weber's Social Stratification Model: A Qualitative Study," at a Dissemination Workshop held in the BPATC Conference Room.

The research was conducted by Dr. Anisur Rahman Khan (Associate Professor), Md. Mamun (Senior Research Officer, BPATC), Dr. Rasel Hussain (Assistant Professor), Helal Uddin (Senior Lecturer), and Ruma Parvin (Senior Lecturer). The study applies Max Weber's Social Stratification Model to examine career motivations and experiences within the Bangladesh Civil Service, offering important insights for both sociological scholarship and public policy.

The research received high appreciation from the discussant, session chair, BPATC faculty members, and participating researchers. It was recognized as an excellent example of applying and testing sociological theory in the context of the Bangladesh Civil Service, with significant implications for future policy formulation.
