Research Findings Dissemination Seminar | BPATC-Funded Study
On 29 July 2026, Dr. Mumita Tanjeela, Associate Professor, Department of Sociology, East West University, presented the findings of the BPATC-funded research project, "From Policy to Practice: Exploring Women's Participation in Community Disaster Risk Reduction in Bangladesh," at a Research Findings Dissemination Seminar held at the BPATC Conference Hall.
The research was conducted in collaboration with Dr. Sufia Khanom, Research Director, Bangladesh Institute of International and Strategic Studies (BIISS), and Dr. Rokeya Fahmida, Director, Bangladesh Public Administration Training Centre (BPATC). The study highlights the opportunities and challenges of translating disaster risk reduction policies into meaningful community-level participation of women in Bangladesh.
