Department of Sociology also arranged individual programs for the newly admitted undergraduate students on June 2, 2022. The objective of the program was to welcome new students and introduce them to university facilities, faculty members, the academic system, and the rules and regulations of the institution.

The program was attended by Dr. Fouzia Mannan, Dean of the FLASS. In the beginning, the newly admitted students were warmly welcomed with a beautiful song of Rabindranath Tagore. Dr. Mumita Tanjeela, Assistant Professor and Chairperson, Department of Sociology, introduced the freshers with all the faculty members of the department.
All the faculty members encouraged the students to try to work hard and be worthy citizens of the country. They also urged the newly admitted students to make the best use of university resources and emphasise the need for higher ethical standards.
