Field trip to Alam Khan-Tahurun Nesa Foundation:
A day-long field trip was arranged for the students of SOC 304 (Sociology of
Environment) at the Srinagar, Munshiganj.
During the visit, the students of SOC 304 (Sociology of Environment) got the
opportunity to know about the new urbanisation process and the impact of
industrialisation on ecosystem of Arial Beel and local people’s lives and
livelihoods.
The students of SOC 304 (Sociology of Environment) applied their observation,
and insight and conducted interviews with local people to understand the emerging
environmental issues and problems of the locality.
The students of SOC 305 (Medical Sociology) conducted in depth interview with
patients to know about the health care utilization services in Srinagar Upazila.
They visited some locations such as Upazial Health Complex, Family Planning
Clinic and Community Health Clinic in Srinagar for conducting their interview.
