Dr. Anisur Rahman Khan, Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at East West University, has co-authored a new research paper titled "Application of the System Model of Industrial Relations in a Leading Manufacturing Organization in Bangladesh," published in the Habitus Journal (March Issue). This study, conducted in collaboration with Dr. Md. Zohurul Islam, applies John Dunlop’s renowned System Model of Industrial Relations to Walton, one of Bangladesh’s leading manufacturing organizations.

Dunlop’s model, a foundational theory in industrial sociology, views industrial relations as a social system influenced by key factors such as government regulations, technology, market dynamics, power structures, and ideological considerations. Through a rigorous survey-based analysis, Dr. Khan and his co-author assessed how these components interact within Walton’s working environment. Their findings confirm that Dunlop’s theoretical framework remains highly relevant, offering valuable insights into employee relations and organizational dynamics in Bangladesh’s evolving industrial sector.
